Children are a gift from God. We never know how long we will be blessed to care for them here on earth, but no matter what they will live in our hearts forever. I thank God for giving me the privilege of being Macy's mommy. Being her mommy brought me more joy than I ever could have dreamed it would and even though she lives in Heaven now with her daddy and our Heavenly Father, she still continues to bless me each and every day. I thank God for the wonderful memories that I will carry in my heart forever. Because of Jesus precious gift of salvation I know I will see my little family again one day in Heaven and what a glorious day that will be!

Smile! :)
Smile ~ even when you don't feel like it! Have you ever noticed how just a simple smile can break the ice, warm your heart or even change your mood? A smile is something that we all have and does not cost us a thing to share it with others. A smile is understood no matter what language we speak. You might be surprised at how good it makes you feel to possibly brighten someone's day with your smile. So don't hesitate to share your one of kind, God given smile today and be a blessing to those around you, who knows you might even feel blessed by it yourself. :)

Thank You God.....
I am feeling very joyous today and I give God ALL the praise for it! I am choosing to focus on the positive things in my life instead of the negative. Thanking God for being so gracious to give me strength and peace and everything I need to get through every day. My life is not perfect by any means, but a lot of how my life is going depends on what I choose to make of it. I believe that happiness is a choice.....
We all have difficuties that we must face in our lives. Sometimes things happen that are totally unexpected. We, of course, have no control over certain things that happen, but we do choose how we react to and how we deal with the things that happen to us. Will you trust and rely on God to see you through or will you try to handle things yourself? God wants us to trust in Him always.
We can't always understand why we are having to go through certain things in our lives, but we can know that He has a purpose and a plan for everything and that whatever we go through in life, God will be right there by our sides to help us through. His word tells us in Deuteronomy 31:6 and in Hebrews 13:5 that He will never leave us. I don't know about you, but that is a great comfort to me. AMEN!!!

Make the Most of Now!
What is holding you back from doing something that you have had on your mind to do? Maybe you have been wanting to write a book, or take a photography or cooking class or maybe you have been thinking of contacting a friend that you have not talked to in you can't remember when. We all have a wish list of things tucked in the back of minds that we would like to do, but that little (big) thing called fear creeps up and tells us all the reasons why we shouldn't pursue those things ~ fear likes to tell us that people might laugh at us or reject us or that we may fall flat on our face. Who knows we may fail, we may get laughed at or rejected, but we may also find a lot of joy and happiness in actually doing those things on our wish list.
With the help of the confidence that God wants me to have in Him, I have decided to make the most of my NOW. With His help I want to make some of the things on my wish list a reality.
One thing is certain ~ you will never get this particular moment back in your life. We only get one today (one now) ~ tomorrow may be too late so make the most of your NOW!

Let go of the baggage.....
Yesterday as I am driving to work I notice that the passenger seat belt light is flashing ~ I have so much stuff in the seat beside me that the seat belt indicator thinks that the seat belt needs to be buckled. I chuckled and think to myself, "I sure have a lot of stuff, maybe it is time to get rid of some of it". The same is true about my past. I carry so much stuff (baggage)around ~ regret, pain, ill will, all of it is heavy and weighes me down. God does not want us to let the mistakes of our past weigh us dowm. That is why He allows us to repent and ask Him for forgiveness. Once we ask God for forgiveness, He forgives us and He doesn't expect us to carry that burden any longer. He also does not expect us to continue to commit that same sin we just repented of.
I think it is important that we learn from our mistakes and allow our mistakes to keep us humble, but it is important to not dwell on the things that we should let go of. If we don't let go of them and we continue to allow then to weigh us down then we are not freeing our minds and ourselves to be able to give our all to God and focus on fulfilling His will for our lives.
I love this verse ~ it is a wonderful reminder from God. ~ Jeremiah 29:11 ~ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
